Independent consultancy · Northern Ireland
Carbon and environmental compliance for manufacturers working across two regimes.
Northern Ireland businesses sit between UK and EU rules. I help small and mid-sized firms make sense of CBAM, CSRD and carbon reporting — and turn the work into something the board can actually use.

What I do
CBAM & CSRD
Practical support for manufacturers caught by the EU's carbon border rules and sustainability reporting — what applies to you, what data you need, and who in your supply chain holds it.
Carbon inventories
A clear, defensible account of your emissions. The real value is the process: it opens new conversations across your value chain and gives your board management information it doesn't currently have.
ESOS
ESOS delivered with experienced Lead Assessors, and done properly — alongside a carbon inventory and a review of your energy contracts, so it's more than a box-ticking exercise.
Contaminated land
Advice on land contamination risk and remediation in Northern Ireland, with site testing and clean-up delivered through specialist partner firms.
Public affairs & communications
Lobbying, stakeholder engagement and communications on environmental policy — from consultation responses to briefing elected representatives.
Board-level insight
Turning environmental data into non-financial management information that helps directors make better decisions.
Councils · Public bodies · Trade bodies
Working with the public sector
I support district councils, public bodies and trade associations with carbon baselines, climate planning, contaminated land readiness, member briefings and consultation responses. I'm open to quotations, supplier frameworks and tenders, on my own or as part of a consortium.
- Experience at a national public regulator
- Briefings for MLAs, councillors and officials
- Member guidance on CBAM, CSRD and ESOS
- Accredited partners for specialist work
Free tools, puzzles and guides
Try it before you talk to anyone
Interactive tools and plain-English guides for Northern Ireland businesses, councils and classrooms. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing you type is stored on a server.
A different take on ESG
Much of what's sold as ESG is reporting for its own sake. I'm more interested in the process behind it. Working out your carbon footprint forces conversations with suppliers, customers and your own teams that rarely happen otherwise — and those conversations are where the commercial value is.
I bring a background in chemistry and materials research, sustainability consulting since 2018, and two decades of communications and public affairs work.
The report is the by-product. The understanding you build along the way is the point.
